It’s been a year, now ROB has a plan. He knows every inch of the shelter. He knows his team. He knows that Christmas Eve may be his only chance. His one shot to finally escape and maybe find his brother MAX.

Then two new arrivals complicate everything. EVY is the protector. DOGCAT a gentle giant who’s never met another one like it in the world... along with someone very dangerous already hunting them. Dogcat could be the missing piece to Rob’s plan. But Evy may not agree.

PRINCESS is a grizzled war veteran leading the revolution. SNOT can lick open any lock in the building except the one that counts. Twin kittens ROSIE and RAEDYN see the world differently... literally. EINSTEIN is building a hovercraft from Sweeper parts. And SQUIRREL watches through the window every day, waiting for something no one else can see.

When a catastrophic storm turns the shelter into a war zone and the COLLECTOR breaches the perimeter, Rob’s perfect plan falls apart. With every escape route compromised, the team fights through rafters, frozen corridors, and a treacherous rooftop all while Rob faces the one thing he never planned... a new family.

Can Rob lead his team through the storm, outrun the Collector, and pull off the greatest escape of all time?
